This past weekend I had one of my baby showers, and it was so amazing. My hostess did a great job, and boy did baby Caleb make out with some great stuff. I have amazing family and friends, and everyone was more than generous. We did an "unwrapped gift" shower so everyone could display their goodies, and walk around to see all the fun gifts. With such a large shower, we would have been sitting around unwrapping gifts for hours. It turned out really cute. See some of the great shots below.

Insomnia

Ugh...sigh...huff...

I seem to be having a bout of insomnia these days. It starts at about four each morning, and I lay awake in bed tossing and turning until I eventually get up early or my alarm goes off.
I. am. SO. OVER. it!

On this particular morning stint of it, I can no longer linger in bed. So I have ordered some stationary, replied to some emails, posted this, and now at 6:45 can watch some news and wait for the sun to fully rise. Baby Caleb really enjoys playing around in Mom's tummy during this time. It's like he is saying "Hey get used to it... I'll be there soon to keep you company."

On a fun side note, my shower is today! HOORAY. Can't wait to post some pics.

31 weeks

Here is the latest photos taken at 31 weeks! Don't feel like writing too much today, so I am going to bullet what's new.

• The nursery furniture arrived last week, and I am anxious to get his bedding here, so we can really get the room all together.
• We had a chance to get out of town this weekend, and enjoyed a wedding over in Tampa...along with some shopping!
• It is getting harder to sleep at night. Between waking up for the bathroom, little man having a playtime in my tummy every night around 4:00AM, and feeling numb and uncomfortable... I'd say the snooze button gets hit more than a couple times each morning.
• Doctor's appointment went well today. Blood pressure, weight, and tummy size is right where it should be.
• Looking forward to a busy March with our shower, maternity photos, weddings, SPRING BREAK, and the beach!

9 WEEKS TO GO~

Third Trimester! Wahoo

Well I have finally made it, and now am entering the final descent of this pregnancy. I have been feeling good, and know that some of that might be short lived, as I start to get further into the 3rd trimester. Little guy is still kicking all about, and we all get to feel him now!

So what have we been up to? Feels like we have been busy every weekend with some fun baby task.

• The nursery is painted (pics soon) and his closet is slowly getting itself set up. If mommy and daddy could just let go of some clothes, he might have a whole closet! I swear we have sent so much to Goodwill, but somehow we still have two and a half closet in our house full of our clothes. I know. We. have. issues!

• Yay for our new stroller! We received it this weekend, and had fun pushing it around in our house (yes we know there was no baby). My how times have changed. ;)

• Valentine's Day was great. I woke up at five thirty to get a quiche in the oven, get ready for work, and then make french toast. "Surprise! Breakfast...now get out of bed and enjoy it!" We went to Napa Restaurant for dinner, and had a delicious dinner. People kept reminding me to enjoy it while it lasted, because all of my other Valentine's Days will be different. Yes they will... I will have 2 guys to love on me next year!!
• In any spare time, I try to sit out and get R & R (relaxation and reading) in the sun. I am tired of my pasty skin!

That's all for now. We have a busy couple months ahead of us before his arrival, and can't wait for him to get here. Although, I still want him in there cooking, until he is suppose to be here!

Week 25 - My bump picture! Looks like my skin hasn't seen the daylight in months... well it hasn't!

Well I had another doctors visit today, and we had our hospital tour after. Doctor's appointment went well, and lil' man is progressing just like he should be. Nice heart beat and some good kicks while the doctor was checking his heart beat. He called him a cooperative lil' guy... here's hoping that stays true! The hospital tour went really well (despite the blood curdling screams I had to hear...not even thinking about that). I really like the new Dr. Phillips Baby Center at Winter Park Hospital. We are going to have some nice accommodations when he decides to grace us with his presence. After we left, it really sunk in to us both...in a good way. As each day passes I just get so excited to meet the lil' guy! His kicks pack a good punch these days, and Daddy gets to feel them and watch my belly move. It really is an amazing site...one that constantly makes mommy laugh. It seems whenever I am in a deep thought or feeling a surge of my "hormones", the little man wants me to snap out of it and focus on the more important things...like him! Finally a full baby bump picture. It took me long enough. For a while I really didn't have a bump that showed. I finally am feeling confident at the gym that I look like a pregnant lady...not just some woman who gained a little too much over the holidays. Here are some pictures of what we have been up!

WEEK 22

As my last week off comes to an end, I realize how busy our Christmas was and wish I had one more week before returning to work. Christmas was fantastic for us! We enjoyed all our time with family and friends. We started all our celebrations the Wednesday before Christmas here in Winter Park, and wrapped it up in Kansas last week. This week, once we returned, I got down to business clearing out the soon to be nursery closet... A.K.A my old closet. We are in the process of clearing out that bedroom to turn in to the nursery and make our office the guest bedroom. We also have a new entertainment piece that we have to move in to living room. Unfortunately that requires moving the HUGE armoir we have in there now. Feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the things that need to be moved-painted-cleared out in the house right now.

On baby C's front, we ordered all the furniture and I can't wait to set up his cute room when it arrives. I also have spent most of the week trying to figure out a theme/color pallet and crib bedding for the room. I think I am coming closer to wrapping that up. Can't wait to share when it is more finalized. I had another doctor's appointment (I feel like I live there!) today, and my belly is measured at 22 inches & his heart beat was going steady at 140. I finally have started to feel him move/kick! It is such an amazing feeling. His Daddy already thinks he is going to follow in his footsteps and be a little soccer player. We'll just have to see :)
